2 oz White Rum
1/2 med size Lime cut 4 pieces
1 tbsp Sugar
4-6 Mint Leaves
Sprite or Seltzer
Use a sturdy glass- Rocks, Collins,
etc-
Add limes, sugar, mint,
splash of soda
Use wooded muddler or wooden
spoon to smash together
Add rum and fill glass with ice
Get the drink cold- stir vigorously
or give a short shake with a shaker
bottom and pour entire contents
back into glass
Top with a splash of soda to wake it
up garnish with a lime wedge and a
mint leaf and drink straw
Tips-
Make a pitcher if you are drinking many or
having a party
How to screw it up- putting in too much fizz will
ruin the drink- it should not taste carbonated-
the fizz is just to wake up the texture
Club soda can taste salty- Sprite is the easiest
Muddling needs to be done with wood so you
don't break the glass and stemmed glasses
are a bad idea
Using simple syrup i/o sugar- double the
amount
Wine- 1.5 ml dry red wine
basically 2 regular size bottles
4 oz Triple Sec
3 oz Brandy (regular brandy)
3 oz Orange Juice
2 tbsp Sugar
4 oz Seltzer or Sprite
Sliced Oranges and Apples
Pour Everything in a pitcher with
a handful of ice and stir
Add fruit and keep chilled
Serve in Wine glasses with ice
Garnish with fruit
Tips-
Already made sangria has
sugar and fruit flavor in it
already so do not use with
this home-made version
Any dry red wine will work- no
need to spend a great deal of
money but do not use the
worst wine available
This drink is hard to screw up!
